WLS Billing

Invoice book for RedM servers running VORP, by West Life Studios.

Characters, businesses and the state write invoices to people nearby or to businesses anywhere. Recipients pay from their book, overdue invoices are reminded and enforced. The amount to pay always comes from the server.

Invoice book

• Anywhere: inbox, outbox and every business book the player may use.

Issuing

• Recipients: people within reach and every business.
• WLS Target: issue straight from the player.
• Issuers: yourself, your business or the state, terms up to 30 days.

Reminders and enforcement

• Reminders: automatic, when an invoice is overdue.
• Enforcement: after the grace period, from the bank also for offline owners.
• Wages: open debts hold back wages in WLS Society.

Invoice inspector

• Invoices: amend or cancel open invoices.
• Records: credits, debts, events and reviews.
• Terms: tax, grace days and the longest term, in game.
• Audit trail: every change with reason, before and after.

Secure by design

• Server amounts: payments go by invoice number, never by a client amount.
• Exactly once: claims locked in a stored procedure, form tokens and operation keys.
• Pinned provider: no second charge when the bank is unavailable.

• Business credit: paid invoices are credited, withdrawn at a cashier.
• Tax: with WLS Banking, a share of every business invoice goes to the treasury.
• Languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese (BR), Polish, Dutch.
